From 5,000 Biryani Plates to Budget-Friendly Meals — Sitara Dakshin Keeps Bengaluru Hungry for More

Bengaluru, India – 27, May— In just four months since opening in Indiranagar, Sitara Dakshin has made an unmistakable mark on Bengaluru’s culinary map. With over 5,000 plates of biryani sold, this Andhra-style multi-cuisine restaurant is drawing attention for its bold flavors, clean ingredients, and authentic cooking methods rooted in the Godavari region of Andhra Pradesh.

Bringing its legacy from Rajahmundry, where the original Sitara was founded in 2011, the Bengaluru outlet preserves a no-shortcuts philosophy: traditional recipes, no preservatives or MSG, and a commitment to real Andhra taste.

“We didn’t just want to open a restaurant—we wanted to bring Andhra’s soul to the city,” says Prasad, co-founder of Sitara Dakshin. “Everything from our fiery biryanis to our comforting curries reflects that intent.”

Slow-Cooked Biryani, Fast-Growing Fan Base

Sitara Dakshin has already developed a cult following for its biryanis and pulavs. Signature dishes include the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani, Andhra-style Chicken Fry Piece Biryani, Pachimirchi Kodi Pulav, Mutton Dum Biryani, and the indulgent Dilkush Biryani. Each is slow-cooked and layered with regional spices to create rich, lingering flavors.

Affordable Andhra: Budget Combos Launch

In response to growing demand for hearty meals on the go, Sitara Dakshin is launching a line of budget-friendly combo meals designed for takeaway and delivery. The newly introduced Sitara Special Combo features biryani rice, chicken fry, mutton curry, and prawn semi-gravy — a monsoon-ready meal that captures the essence of Andhra cooking in a single box.

“These combos are our way of making authentic food accessible to more people — especially during Bengaluru’s rain-heavy weeks when comfort food matters,” adds Suman, co-founder.

A Rising Star in Bengaluru’s Food Scene

Located on 80 Feet Road in Indiranagar, Sitara Dakshin is fast becoming a go-to for foodies, families, and professionals looking for a dependable, flavorful meal. Its menu also features a mix of Andhra thalis, Tandoori favorites, and Indo-Chinese specials, offering something for every taste.

With its authentic roots, growing fan base, and new value-driven offerings, Sitara Dakshin is poised to be one of the best Andhra restaurants in Bengaluru
