TechYard Labs and WT IT Solutions Pvt Ltd affirms Aawas Yojana is a RERA-governed housing platform using escrow and EMI frameworks, not a gaming or betting app.
Dehradun, Uttarakhand — August 30, 2025 —
TechYard labs Pvt Ltd and WT IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. today issued a clarification to reinforce that its flagship platform, Aawas Yojana, operates strictly under India’s real estate, fintech, and consumer protection frameworks—and is not subject to gaming or betting laws.
The platform’s unique model allows families to book verified property slots starting at ₹49, with payments secured through escrow-linked bank accounts and RERA-compliant contracts. Unlike online gaming apps, Aawas Yojana involves no wagering, chance-based winnings, or speculative outcomes.
Legal Framework Governing Aawas Yojana:
- RERA (2016): Ensures property listings, allotments, and agreements are fully regulated.
- RBI Escrow Guidelines: Every user payment is routed via escrow, protecting both buyers and sellers.
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019: Guarantees fairness, transparency, and digital contract validity.
- IT Act, 2000: Enables e-signature, e-KYC, and secure digital agreements.
“Every slot purchased is legally tied to a real asset, not speculative money. Aawas Yojana is an asset-backed PropTech model designed to support housing rehabilitation, not gaming,” said Ramit Panwar, VP – Legal & Compliance (APAC), Aawas Yojana.
The company reiterated that its mission is aligned with the GovTech & Housing for All 2030 vision, aiming to unlock ₹5,200 crore in idle housing stock in Uttarakhand and ₹5 lakh crore nationally by 2030.
