VENUS Safety & Health’s V-90 V Mask combines fit, breathing comfort, durability, and heat management for demanding industrial environments
As India accelerates its manufacturing and infrastructure growth, workplace safety is becoming increasingly important to both employee wellbeing and productivity. Across construction, automobile, engineering and mining sectors, workers routinely operate in environments where dust, particulate matter, heat, and long working hours make respiratory protection critical.
However, providing respiratory protection is only one part of the equation. Ensuring that workers can wear it comfortably and consistently through demanding work shifts is equally important.
This is where the design and usability of a respirator become as important as its protective function.
VENUS Safety & Health Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s established Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) manufacturers, has focused on addressing this intersection of protection, comfort, and usability through product-led innovation. Its V-90 V Mask has been designed keeping extended industrial usage and challenging workplace conditions in mind.
Designing Protection Around the Worker
A key feature of the V-90 V Mask is its convex cup-shaped design, which provides a better facial fit while offering greater breathing space — particularly relevant for workers who may need to wear respiratory protection for extended shifts of eight to ten hours.
The mask features latex-free textile elastic straps that are durable and skin-friendly. Its braided textile elastic is designed to resist deformation under high temperatures and repeated usage.
The dual-shell design adds durability for repeat and extended use while helping reduce the accumulation of dust and stains on the mask surface.
Another distinctive feature is VENUS Safety & Health’s Stay Cool Butterfly Vent Valve, uniquely designed to reduce exhalation heat and fogging. In industrial environments where workers may already be exposed to elevated temperatures and physical exertion, managing heat and moisture inside a respirator can significantly improve wearer comfort.
The V-90 V Mask carries IS 9473 and CE 0121 approvals and is suitable for applications across automobile, construction, engineering, mining, and other industrial sectors.
From Safety Compliance to Safety Culture
According to Mahesh Kudav, Managing Director, VENUS Safety & Health Pvt. Ltd., the future of occupational safety lies in understanding how PPE is used on the ground.
“Respiratory protection should go beyond being a compliance requirement. For PPE to serve its purpose effectively, workers must be able to use it correctly and consistently through demanding work environments. At VENUS Safety & Health, our focus has therefore been on combining protection with practical design, comfort, and durability. The V-90 V Mask reflects this philosophy. Innovation in safety must make protection easier for workers to adopt as part of their everyday working lives.”
This reflects a larger shift in India’s occupational safety ecosystem. As companies focus more closely on employee wellbeing, ESG, productivity and global manufacturing standards, workplace safety is increasingly moving from statutory compliance towards becoming an integral part of organisational culture.
For PPE manufacturers, this means innovation must consider not just protection standards, but also ergonomics, climatic conditions, duration of usage and worker behaviour.
Four Decades of Safety Innovation
Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Navi Mumbai, VENUS Safety & Health Pvt. Ltd. has built four decades of ability in the PPE industry. The company exports to more than 32 countries and runs seven advanced manufacturing facilities with a production capacity of approximately 1.5 million units per day.
Its portfolio spans occupational safety, healthcare, and air filtration, with a strong focus on indigenous product development and engineering. Innovations such as the Stay Cool Butterfly Vent Valve and Twist N Click filter system, along with collaborations with institutions including IITs and DRDO, underline its focus on developing safety solutions relevant to evolving industrial requirements.
As India’s manufacturing and infrastructure ecosystem expands, the next phase of occupational safety will require products that workers not only need to wear but can wear comfortably and consistently.
The V-90 V Mask stands for that philosophy — designing safety around the person who must wear it.
